Monotype series, 2008

The image is transferred from the plate onto a sheet of paper by pressing the two together, using a printing-press.

 

These Monotypes are created by inking an entire metallic surface and then, using brushes or rags, removing the ink to create areas of light from a solid area of opaque colour.

A monotype impression is unique.
